| Terminology:
Screen: By screen, I don’t mean what your TV shows. I mean a part of the Paper Mario world separated by going to a new part. You know what I mean? Example: When heading out of Mario’s home, you leave the SCREEN through a warp pipe. Then, if you exit Toad Town through the arch, you are going to a new SCREEN. You can also go East to a new SCREEN of Toad Town.
Starting up:
There are four save slots-fun for the whole family, right? You can switch between Stereo and Mono with Z and R. So whichever you prefer, pick. Then, just make a new file and start going. As a note, I’d recommend naming the files after your name in case multiple people will play. This is because the game does not insert the file name anywhere else. If you name yourself JoeMama, then the game will still call you Mario, but the file will be called JoeMama.
Intro:
Start out with a somewhat stereotypical intro. Once you gain control, I’d recommend talking to everyone you can because you will meet some again later, and some of the conversations are just fun. You can’t enter the far right or left doors. You also can’t leave (big surprise). To do most actions, press A, f.y.i. When you finish there, go up the stairs and leave. With the doors in this room, you can’t enter any side doors. Talk to whomever you want and go up the stairs and leave. (No one actually gives you anything by talking to them.) Go down the long hallway and enter the door. Finally, just keep walking and you’ll meet Peach.
Whenever you are done, you are set into a battle. Oh boy is Bowser cocky. Knock some sense into him, will you? You can only jump on him, so do that. After three jumps, Bowser pulls out the Star Rod. Oh great… Now this will be a challenge. You can’t beat him, so don’t worry whenever you die. And now you know the game’s plot.
