| The Underground Ghost Ship- To open the locked gate, jump into the cannon in the middle of the island. Launch yourself towards the red dot covered planet. Kill the enemies on this planet, and grab the Fire Flower on the southern side. Use the Sling Star to get back to the main island, and light the two torches to open the gate. Run through the hall and dive into the water. Soon enough you will see an arrow of Star bits pointing into a cave. Inside, spin attack the switch to gain access. Do the same for the next gate above. Once on the surface, head to the stairs and onto the boat to fight the boss.
To defeat Kamella, you need to spin attack the green magic that she produces when it comes near. You will get a shell, which you need to spin attack at her when she reappears. Do this twice and the battle will enter the next stage, so climb the pole on the left side to actually to it. This is where is gets somewhat tricky, seeing as two Kameks when you get up there, it is your choice whether to kill them or not. Keep doing what you’ve been doing, and in two shots she’ll be dead.
Bubble Blastoff- Right off the bat you need to kill an annoying mole. Simply look around the island for a melon, and spin attack it into the glass covering him. Three hits will do him in. There is actually a shortcut right now. Hop into the cannon, and aim to the left, and slightly above the yellow block when it’s at its highest point. When it starts to move down shoot, and if timed correctly, you will land in that area. Skip to the next paragraph if you happen to do this. Otherwise, hop into the cannon and aim toward the red dot covered planet. Grab the Fire Flower once more, and use the Sling Star to get back. Light the two torches in front, and the one closely behind to make an Ice Flower appear. Continue along the path and use the pipes on the left side to get to the pole, and take it up to the next level. Use the following platforms and poles to cross over to the next area. Follow the belt and leap into the ? Coin. Use any of the five sling stars that appear to get to the next level.
This is where you need to use the Bubble Cannons to get to the yellow platforms. So keep jumping into the bubbles when they shot to progress. Jump past the two flame jets, up another pole, and into another bubble to be shot to another planet. Ground-Pound the three stumps here, and use the last Bubble Cannon to get shot to the last planet. Here you will have to knock the three balls on the inside of the planet into the watermelon, so when they come by, pound the surface. Do this two more times to reveal the star.
Guppy and the Underground Lake- Simply head to the lake and dive down all the way to the bottom to find Guppy the Big Whale. Talk to him and accept the challenge to pass through all eight of his rings. And stay close, seeing as they only appear for about 15 seconds. Number eight is above the mines, number 7 to the left and above three spiked urchins. Grab the shell to the left and follow the path to find six behind the ship. Make yet another left turn to find 5 behind three water vortexes. Four is to the left and above some more sea urchins. 3 is straight ahead, two to the right and above a rock, and finally number one is in-between the vortexes. Look for the star next to Guppy after you’re done.
Ghost Ship Daredevil Run- This only includes the battle with Kamella, so refer back to The Underground Ghost Ship level for more information. If you do want some tips though, remember to use to sides of the boat to dodge fireballs, and remember to kill at least one of the Kameks as soon as possible.
Plunder for the Purple Coins- Coins one-fourteen are located right behind you underwater, one on the platform, two under, and the rest on the water or underneath it. Perform a back flip to get the coin to the right of the starting area, and 16 on a floating box nearby. Coins 17-30 can be found on the ridges next to the ghost ship and to the left of the starting area. The next 3 are on the stairs leading to the Ghost Ship, and 34-59 are on the main deck area of the Ship. And to get the ones below the Crow’s Nest, perform a back flip off of the support pole and spin jump to get them. 19 more are on and above the Crow’s Nest, and to get the one way far out there, perform a long jump. 72-77 are along the perimeter of the lake wall, and 78-86 are under the ship. Three more are on a ledge to the side, and another 9 are on the sides of the ship. And finally number 100 is under the platform off of the main deck.
Boo in a Box- As you’ve done before, hop into the cannon and repeat the process of getting the gate open. Head into the lake, and dive all the way down to the bottom. Take the green shell and shoot it and the mines surrounding the ship piece, this will reveal another Launch Star. Now the single Boo in the room holds the star, and you need to get to the crystal on the side of the way to shine to light. Normally you would have to do the whole gravity thing, but there is an easier way. Perform a back flip off the side of the wall and spin the crystal to break it and let the light in. Lure the Boo into the light to kill him and get your star.
